Together for tomorrow’s skilled workforce: The "Talents in Science" campaign was launched to specifically address the skills shortage in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. Behind this initiative are scienceindustries' vocational education network and committed member companies, working together to attract young talent to careers such as Chemical and Pharmaceutical Technologist (Federal VET Diploma).
Training in chemical and pharmaceutical technology provides the foundation for numerous processes involved in manufacturing chemical, biological, and pharmaceutical products. Qualified young professionals are especially urgently needed in this area. Their expertise plays a crucial role in producing vital medicines and maintaining high quality standards.
Vocational Training Initiative "Talents in Science"
The vocational training initiative "Talents in Science" aims to offer young people insights into daily professional life and inspire interest in careers within the chemical, pharmaceutical and life sciences industries. The campaign uses various videos to showcase apprentices from scienceindustries’ member companies during their work. The landing page www.talents-in-science.ch (available in German only), alongside social media channels like Instagram, provides valuable information and resources, including:
- Links to open apprenticeship positions
- Useful tips for job applications
- Comprehensive information about the Chemical and Pharmaceutical Technologist (Federal VET Diploma) profession
"Talents in Science" thus facilitates entry into the fields of chemistry, pharmaceuticals and life sciences. Together with aprentas and dedicated member companies, scienceindustries supports this important initiative to sustainably ensure the industry’s competitiveness and effectively combat the skills shortage.
