AC Vonlanthen is appointed Head of Public Affairs & Communications

Anne Cécile Vonlanthen-Oesch will take up her position as the new Head of Public Affairs and Communications and member of the Management Board of scienceindustries mid-August 2025. ‘With her wide-ranging experience in political lobbying, Anne Cécile Vonlanthen-Oesch is an ideal addition to our team,’ says Stephan Mumenthaler, Director of scienceindustries. She succeeds Pia Guggenbühl, who is leaving scienceindustries at the end of January to take over the operational management of the «Verlegerverband Schweizer Medien» on 1 February. scienceindustries would like to thank Pia Guggenbühl for her great commitment, in particular for setting up a forward-looking sustainability strategy, setting up the ‘Forum Sustainability - Industry and Commerce’ and for her dedicated media work, which has sustainably strengthened the visibility and perception of the association.

36-year-old Anne Cécile Vonlanthen-Oesch has a master's degree in International Affairs and Governance (MIA) from the University of St. Gallen. She has broad experience in the federal administration and in representing interests in industry and umbrella organisations. Before her current role, she worked in the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) and at economiesuisse, among other things. Until she takes up her post at scienceindustries, she is responsible for heading the Public Affairs division at the Swiss Insurance Association SIA.
